Seeking a gospel return

ABOUT US

The London Good Stewards Trust (LGST) was setup by a network of Conservative Evangelical churches in London as a Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO) and registered with the Charity Commission in 2019.

Its purpose is to support Anglican churches in the Diocese of London to steward their money well.

One aim is to promote and display unity between like-minded churches by enabling them to make donations to LGST to be pooled and paid together to the Diocese of London.

Additionally, LGST will enable churches to financially support gospel ministry projects that have been approved for funding by the LGST Trustees in line with their charitable objectives.

The Trust takes the Church of England (Worship and Doctrine) Measure 1974 as our basis of faith. In addition, we subscribe to the CEEC Statement of Faith.

Background

People who give money in our churches give sacrificially. Students, older people, people with young families. They need people in church leadership who use their money wisely. LGST is a registered charity set up in 2019 by ReNew London churches to support Anglican churches in London to do just that.

Connect with us

We exist to serve Anglican churches in London that subscribe to the Church of England (Worship and Doctrine) Measure 1974. There is much that our churches can do on their own but more we can do together. Contact us if you are interested in finding out more, in praying for us, or in talking about how we can work with your church.

Beliefs

We want churches to see a return on their investment, but not in pounds and pence. We want a gospel return of people across London coming to know the rescue and rule that Jesus brings. It's the most wonderful news in the world; as relevant as it's ever been. We take the Church of England (Worship and Doctrine) Measure 1974 as our basis of faith. Read our constitution

Safeguarding

As a UK registered charity, all churches that work with us must have a clear safeguarding policy.
