The London Good Stewards Trust

Request a Grant

Applications for a grant should be made using the Grant Application Form on our Documents page. Please email the completed form to the Trustees at london.gs.trust@gmail.com.

The Trust aims to help build healthy local Anglican Evangelical churches, primarily by supporting the deployment of ministers and others who are in agreement with the Trust's Statement of Faith in line with its charity's purpose.

Priority will be given to Anglican Evangelical churches (or organisations planted or established under the supervision of those churches) where the local congregation is not reasonably able to fund the running costs of the church and its paid team members themselves. Grants may also be made for the provision and maintenance of facilities for public worship (especially for church plants), and for projects focusing on outreach and evangelism. Applicants are encouraged to explore other sources of additional funding, alongside any application to the LGST, but are not required to do so.

The Statement of Need should include an assessment of the current situation, a reasoned plan of action and the hoped-for outcomes. It should include a time-scale, budget and the most recent set of audited accounts for the church (beneficiary or planting church in the case of church plants) where applicable.

Grants will normally be paid quarterly, but requests to vary this will be considered. Applications may include requests for grants to be made over a number of years.

The Trustees will usually expect a progress report every 6 months, for the duration of any grants, but this will be confirmed if the application is successful.

Applications may be made at any time to be considered by the Trustees whose decision is final.
